Republicans Against Perry Co-Sponsors January 6th Vigil
Republicans Against Perry, in partnership with the Northern York Democratic Club, are co-hosting a January 6th Remembrance Vigil in Dillsburg for an evening of remembrance and reflection on the third anniversary of the January 6th attack on the Capitol. The event will take place on the evening of Friday, January 5th.
During the vigil, there will be a candle lighting ceremony to honor those who died defending our Capitol followed by remarks from local leaders on the importance of safeguarding our democracy.
“I watched in horror as events unfolded at the Capitol on January 6th,” said Tim Shollenberger, Republicans Against Perry Committee Member. “Little did I know that MY Congressman, Scott Perry, would be alleged to have actively participated in a plot to overturn the results of the election. Mr. Perry must be voted out of office by his constituents so he can never put our democracy in peril.”
Craig Snyder, who is leading the Republicans Against Perry campaign, said: “Republicans Against Perry comprises folks with different reasons for wanting a new Representative in Congress but who all share a hope to reinvigorate fidelity to the Constitution as a core Republican principle — the opposite of what we saw on that ugly day three years ago.”
Brian Allen, who ran against Perry in the 2022 Republican primary, will be giving remarks at the vigil on behalf of Republicans Against Perry.
This also marks the first in person gathering of Republicans Against Perry members following a virtual kick off meeting in December.
